Heritage Wood Care range

Heritage Woodcare is a 21st century superior product that is based on a 19th century secret formula known only to the grand masters of the furniture crafts. The keen rivalry between these skilled craftsmen brought about a constant searching for absolute perfection in the preservation, cleaning and polishing of wooden furniture, and many a priceless antique piece to be seen today gives testimony to the success of their skills. In order to get the desired result, these craftsmen would spend hours, and sometimes days, working on a single article.

Few people (if any) in this busy modern world would have the time - to say nothing of the patience - of the old masters, so after many moons of comprehensive research, helped by enlightened technology, the age-old formula has been updated, and will now give the same outstanding results in a fraction of the time. We call it Heritage Wood Care.

Kitchen Cupboards: Removes grease and grime. Has organic oils which bring them back to life.

White heat marks: These can usually be removed with Heritage Wood Care. However, severe burns that have damaged the varnish or finish will not respond.

Scratches and cuts: Heritage Wood Care will clean out light scratches, and they will be less noticeable. However, it will not work on deeper cuts.

Leather: Heritage Wood Care is not recommended for use on leather, but can be used on vinyl. Why not check out the Heritage Leather Care range instead?

Teak and all hardwoods: Highly recommended. Will clean, polish and feed the wood.

Pine furniture: Highly recommended for all pine that has been sealed, varnished or waxed or lacquered. Not suitable for pine that is bare and unfinished. Nearly all pine that has been professionally finished will be sealed in some way. If in doubt try the polish on an unseen section. Ideal for antique pine.

Bare wood and unfinished furniture: Do not use Heritage Wood Care on any softwood that is bare or unfinished.

Televisions, videos, Hi-fis: Excellent for all hard plastics (hard vinyls). Removes and repels dust. Use on ceramic tiles and enamel paint (e.g. fridges, washing machines).

Cars, boats and caravans: Ideal for polishing the bodywork without any abrasives. Always wash off dirt and grit before polishing. Very effective on all interior and exterior vinyl, seats, fascia and door trims, dashboard etc. Also ideal for hard vinyl such as Formica, Melamine or Contiboard surfaces. Excellent for garden furniture.

To use: Shake the bottle well, just before use. Pour some Heritage Wood Care into a container. Soak any soft, clean cloth or duster in the solution. Wring out the cloth. (You can return the un-used portion to the bottle) Now use just one cloth to clean and polish! With regular use, there is no need for waxing! If the duster is not wrung enough, the furniture may be left slightly wet, in which case it should be buffed with a dry duster.

Cleaning or stripping your wood before the first use is not required. On furniture where the grain is clogged with wax and silicones, the polish will go streaky, as it lifts it out, and cleans and protects. In this case, further applications of Heritage Wood Care may be needed before the final finish is achieved.

Any clean soft duster or cloth will be suitable provided it is really well wrung out, after it has been impregnated with the Heritage Wood Care. When the cloth becomes dirty it can be washed out in soap or detergent. With some dusters, especially yellow, the colour will run and colour the polish. This is not important; you can continue to use the duster as normal.
